1/ Full CV, copy of passport with photograph, copy of degree

- An overview of relevant qualifications and experiences
- Reason for wishing to teach in Vietnam
- A statement of what you are looking for in a school
- A realistic start date

Sub-title: Requirements

- All teacher must have a university degree (or equivalent) and proper English language teaching certification
- Teachers possess North American accent are preferable
- Possessing a creative, insightful and communicative teaching style while being committed to the need of the students is a strong point
- Work permit is required for all foreigners to legally work in Vietnam and in order to renew any work/business related visas. Cleverlearn will assist you in applying for a work permit.

Sub-title: Compensation and benefits

1/ High and competitive hourly NET rate
2/ Monthly NET income: up to US $2,200/month
3/ Multiple-entry extendable visa for each 6 months: US $110/6 months
4/ Sponsored to get Work Permit at Viet Nam
5/ Annual leaves: 12 days per year with full pay
6/ Public holidays: 9 days per year according to Vietnam National Holidays defined by Government
7/ Contract completion bonus: US $500 for one full year of contract
8/ Salary review: 5% - 10% advancement upon performance review annually
9/ Advancement on salary: up to US $1,500 for urgent and special circumstances

Sub-title: Applying Work Permit

In order to obtain a Work Permit (WP), the school has to submit an application on your behalf that includes notarized copies of your original. They are:

 University degree or higher certification (only one needed)

 TEFL/TESOL Certificate or higher certification in EFL/ESL (only one needed)

 Police Clearance Certificate/Criminal Record from the relevant agency in the residential country of the applicant

It’s advisable for applicants to contact the relevant authorities in their residential country to apply for and obtain the notarized university degree and Police Clearance Certificate before leaving for Vietnam, or arrange to have it sent to Vietnam once ready. In addition to this, an applicant for a WP must include a health check certificate and other documents that will allow the applicant to get their legal status in Vietnam.

Sub-title: Dress code

Clothing is a very important issue in Vietnam. Some clothing may be considered inappropriate and/or offense to our students and possibly parents who are constantly observing our teachers as they enter and exit Cleverlearn premises.

The following are guidelines we would like teachers to follow as per your school attire. Below you will find the guidelines for BOTH male and female teachers:

 Female Teachers:

-     Please do not wear open-toed shoes; unless they are a type of formal shoe (high-heels, or heeled-shoe, etc.
-     Please do not wear clothing (blouses, shirts, skirts, etc.) which are too revealing or exposes too much of your body.
-     Please do not wear shorts, Capri pants/trousers, or like attire resembling beach attire.
-     Please do not wear slippers or sandals to class.
-     Please reserve the wearing of jeans, unless it is during the weekend; Saturday and/or Sunday
-     Trousers/Slacks/Pants are acceptable

 Male Teachers:

-     Please do not wear open-toed shoes.
-     Please do not wear extremely lose-fitting, hip-hop gear or apparel; overly baggy jeans, muscled t-shirts or like attire resembling beach attire.
-     Please do not wear shorts, Capri pants/trousers, or like attire.
-     Please do not wear slippers or sandals to class
-     Please reserve the wearing of jeans, unless it is during the weekend; Saturday and/or Sunday
-     Polo-styled shirts, button down shirts are acceptable. Ties are not required to be won.
-     Trousers/Slacks/Pants are acceptable
